Community Intake, Assessment and Service Plan Coordination

Need for Program: There are over 400 social and human service agencies in Shawnee County. In 2005 CIAS received over 2900 calls for assistance. The two most requested needs were:

  • Financial assistance
  • Overwhelmed parents needing support and not knowing were to turn.

Program Goal: Provide a single point of entry within the community for families to find the resources they require to meet their needs.

Services Provided:

  • Individuals and families have access to resources and support systems needed to resolve economic and family emergencies.
  • Thorough family assessments: onsite or in families’ home resulting in recommendations for appropriate services with partnering agencies.
